Dr Freeman has been an Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), taught Force Planning and Analysis at the US Naval War College, a Visiting Scholar at CIS, MIT, and a Senior Analyst at the US Congressional Office of Technology Assessment. He has a Ph.D. from the Department of War Studies, King's College London, a MBA from Harvard Business School, and a 2 Yr. MPA from Harvard Kennedy School of Government in International Security and Arms Control.  He has lectured at  such diverse forums as the Polish Air Force Academy, the Royal United Services Institute for Defence Studies, London, the International Institute for Strategic Studies, and the UK MoD.
