Havilland DH-82A Tiger Moth II VH-IHU
|
The Tiger Moth trained thousands of WW2 aircrew making it
one of the most succcessful trainers of all times. It is an
underpowered and poorly harmonised design, but attractive visually and
always a good photographic subject.

Bellanca
8KCAB Decathlon VH-CUM
|
This 8KCAB was my preferred aircraft
during the 1990s and I logged much of my 8KCAB aerobatic time on it. Of
the various 8KCABs I flew during that period, this aircraft was the
best handling, by a significant margin. The aircraft remains an
aerobatic training workhorse (Mamiya-Sekor
C 300mm f/5.6N ULD).

The Seminole is an aircraft I enjoyed
flying, and did both my twin training and ME NVMC training on
Seminoles. This example is a brand new aircraft operated by Moorabbin
Flying Services.

My 'pet hate'
in GA types is the Cessna 172. I have never understood
why the 172 was so popular, given its mediocre handling, poor upper
hemisphere visibility and general clumsiness. Most of these
examples are operated by OAA, which absorbed my Alma Mater GFS.
